DMCA Policy
Last updated: March 2026Femmé respects the intellectual property rights of others and complies with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA), 17 U.S.C. § 512. This policy describes how to submit a takedown notice, how to file a counter-notice, and how we handle repeat infringers.
Reporting Copyright Infringement
If you believe that content on Femmé infringes your copyright, please send a written DMCA takedown notice to our designated agent containing all of the following:
- A physical or electronic signature of the person authorised to act on behalf of the copyright owner.
- Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed, or a representative list if multiple works are covered by a single notification.
- Identification of the infringing material — including its URL on the platform — with sufficient detail for us to locate it.
- Your contact information: name, address, telephone number, and email address.
- A statement that you have a good faith belief that use of the material in the manner complained of is not authorised by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
- A statement, made under penalty of perjury, that the information in the notification is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or are authorised to act on behalf of the copyright owner.

We respond to valid DMCA notices within 72 hours. Infringing content will be removed or disabled promptly upon receipt of a complete and valid notice.
Counter-Notice Procedure
If you believe content was removed from Femmé in error or as a result of misidentification, you may file a counter-notice. A valid counter-notice must include:
- Your physical or electronic signature.
- Identification of the material that was removed and the location where it appeared before removal.
- A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good faith belief the material was removed or disabled as a result of mistake or misidentification.
- Your name, address, and telephone number.
- A statement consenting to the jurisdiction of the federal district court for your district (or, if outside the US, any judicial district in which Femmé may be found), and that you will accept service of process from the person who submitted the original DMCA notice.
Upon receipt of a valid counter-notice, we will forward it to the original complainant. If the complainant does not file a court action within 10 business days, we will restore the removed content.
Repeat Infringer Policy
In appropriate circumstances, Femmé will terminate the accounts of users who are determined to be repeat infringers of copyrights or other intellectual property rights. We track DMCA notices associated with accounts and act accordingly.
Non-Consensual Content (Image-Based Abuse)
Femmé has a strict policy against non-consensual intimate imagery (NCII). If you appear in content on Femmé that was posted without your consent, please contact us immediately at safety@femme.com. Such content will be removed as a priority, separate from the standard DMCA process.
